KG Growers is to be renamed Berry Gardens Growers to integrate the soft-fruit presence of marketing company Berry Gardens Ltd.

Following the re-acquisition of a 100 per cent shareholding in Berry Gardens by KG Growers in March 2009, the firm has announced a new corporate style for the group and a new name for its UK growers' co-operative, Berry Gardens Growers.

In a statement, managing director Nick Marston said the move was “to reinforce the fact that our business is owned by growers and offers to all stakeholders the benefits this brings” and followed “a very successful year for both our UK growers and our year-round berry marketing business”.

The group has designed a new logo and consolidated its websites in to a single site, www.berrygardens.co.uk, which offers a full range of information, as well as business-to-business services to grower members.

Marston added: “This change is much more than a cosmetic exercise. It is intended to demonstrate the strength and focus of our growers and our business. We operate as a single business, specialising in our crops, offering service and expertise to all - our customers, our UK growers, and partners and growers all around the world.”

Berry Gardens offers the full range of soft fruit year round, as well as UK cherries and plums.
