Worldwide Fruit has shipped its first ever container of UK-grown Jazz apples to Thailand.
Commercial director Steve Maxwell said: “Last Friday we sent 1,100cases of 58-63mm UK Jazz which will be sold be our sister company Delica in Thailand.”
Delica has previously successfully sold Jazz apples grown in New Zealand, France and the US to its customers in Thailand.
The shipment is due to arrive at Laem Chabang on 3 March. Maxwell said: “This is a one-off at the moment but could grow into something really interesting over the next few years.”
