Lina Naim, chairman of Homin and deputy of the Agricultural Export Council, has said the Egyptian mentality towards quality has changed and links with the UK are to be vastly improved with new work on logistics.
She told FPJ: “There have been several meetings with the commercial council and the UK to make sure exports are meeting requirements on both sides.
“We are looking at the availability of shipping and also airfreight as sometimes we have had problems with attaining space for containers and it is expensive. If you send early, you get the prices.
“We have got specialised people from the UK to investigate all aspects of our farms to ensure quality.”
