Annie Stephen and Lukasz Sipior have taken on client manager roles
Rijk Zwaan UK has announced the appointment of two new hires.
Annie Stephen takes on the role of client manager chain, while Lukasz Sipior will be client manager.
Stephen began her career in the equine industry, eventually rising to the role of international sales manager for the prestigious brand Carr & Day & Martin. In that position, she travelled extensively, visiting approximately 35 countries over three years including Russia and New Zealand.
During the pandemic, Stephen pivoted into a new challenge within the same group, taking on a leadership role in the farm division. She was responsible for overseeing UK operations, including the manufacture and sale of livestock supplements.
Rijk Zwaan described Stephen as having a global perspective, strong commercial background and enthusiasm for the sector.
Stephen added: “I’ve found the fresh produce industry to be a fascinating crossroads between tradition and innovation. On one hand, it’s rooted in something timeless – growing food from the earth – but on the other, it’s continually evolving through technology, sustainability efforts, and changing consumer demands.”
Meanwhile, Sipior began his career in horticulture at Vitacress, where what started as a gap-year role quickly turned into a lifelong passion. Over the years, he advanced through various positions, most recently serving as growing manager, and his experience spans trial management, crop development and sustainability.
Sipior also holds both FACTS and BASIS certifications, which Rijk Zwaan said reinforces his commitment to responsible and effective crop management. “I am excited to contribute to Rijk Zwaan’s innovative approach and work alongside our partners to help feed the world with healthy, tasty and nutritious food,” he said.
