Tozer Seeds veteran steps down

Tozer Seeds' long-term sales representative John Rowntree has left the business after 18 years to move onto pastures new.

Rowntree, who joined Tozer in 1996, had responsibility for Lincolnshire and the east of England where he has been credited with raising the company’s profile “considerably”, and forming lasting relationships with many growers. He was also instrumental in establishing the UK-bred late-season cauliflower programme.

He will continue to run his own business – wholesale firm Treedale Farm Produce – from his base in Lincolnshire.

Tozer Seeds’ sales director, David Rogers, said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank John for all his hard work and wish him all the best for the future.”
