Thompson & Morgan, the privately owned UK seed breeder and major provider of plug plants, has purchased the UK mail order businesses and brands of Seymour Selected Seeds and Totally Tomatoes from US owners JW Jung Seed Company.

With the deal completed only this week, T&M have been unable to publish individual catalogues for the two newly acquired arms, but customers of the two will receive the T&M catalogue.

John May, T&M's ceo, said that JW Jung had chosen to sell to his company to continue the levels of service to its UK customer base through an established campaigner. “We are confident that Seymour Selected Seeds and Totally Tomatoes customers relish the choice and leves of service on offer from us,” he said. “Our well established mail order operations will ensure smooth integration to existing and new customers.”
