Tomato link-up brings the Med to retail shelves

Leading Edge has produced a range of label booklets for Hellmann’s Olive Oil (Mediterranean) Mayonnaise.

As picked up by Off the Shelf, in last week’s Journal, to link with the Hellmann’s proposition, the promotion features on vine tomatoes in Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury’s. Featuring a competition mechanic to win a holiday* the label booklet also includes a money off coupon and highlights that there is a free sample of Hellmann’s Mayonnaise Dressing inside each pack of vine tomatoes.

Leading Edge worked closely with the packers for each of the accounts to ensure that labels were supplied on time and to specification. For Asda packer (Mill Nurseries), Leading Edge also supplied applicator machinery to be utilised for the promotional label booklet so as to not slow down their production line - saving time and money but also enabling activity to go ahead and into market for this retailer.

The Sainsbury’s promotional activity is also supported by point of sale material produced by Leading Edge Labels & Packaging.

For each account a different holiday was offered: Asda featured the chance to win a holiday to Tuscany; Tesco a holiday to Portugal; Sainsbury’s a holiday to Spain.
