A toddler choked to death on a grape at a Tesco checkout, as staff desperately tried to save him.
The 17-month-old’s parents were paying at Tesco’s Feltham store when their son began gasping for air.
A spokesman for the retailer said staff, who are trained in first-aid, had done all they could to try and save the boy while waiting for an ambulance.
“Our thoughts go out to the little boys family. It was a terrible thing to happen and we send our condolences to them.”
