The Greenery has launched a guide to its range of mushrooms.

The Mushroom Guide has been developed to provide buyers with information about the entire assortment, its availability and product-specific characteristics. The guide is available in Dutch, German, English and French.

The Greenery supplies varieties that include horse mushrooms, grey, yellow and pink oyster mushrooms, Pied Bleu and Shiitake - all cultivated by growers associated with The Greenery. To complement these, it also imports various types of mushrooms such as Eryngii and Shimeji from Korea, China and Germany.

The Greenery also offers a complete package of wild forest mushrooms, such as chanterelles and cèpes and, subject to seasonal availability, truffles. Part of the range is also available from organically grown sources.

Martin Brown, managing director of Greenery UK, said: "The range of mushrooms offered by The Greenery has expanded rapidly recently. In addition to the familiar white button mushrooms, we also have a wide variety of exotic mushrooms and speciality lines.

"The Mushroom Guide provides a clear, informative guide to what we can offer and we hope it will help lead to a more exciting choice for shoppers."

As well as the Mushroom Guide and some new packaging, The Greenery is developing a range of inspirational and easy recipes for consumers. These quick and uncomplicated ideas use standard kitchen ingredients and are designed to encourage consumers to try out speciality mushrooms more often.
