Thanet Earth has this week won the race to get the first English cucumbers of the season onto supermarket shelves.
A&A Growers’ Arjan de Gier and Addie Breugem supplied the first crops to the Tesco Extra store in Broadstairs, and small volumes will be sold exclusively in a number of Tesco stores over the next fortnight as production increases.
