Tesco is pledging its support to the Northern Irish market by launching a new consumer food and drink show next month.
Tesco Taste Northern Ireland Show will take place in Belfast’s Custom House Square on September 11-12 to showcase Tesco’s Northern Irish supplier base directly to customers and increase consumer awareness of the produce available in the region.
More than 60 of the region’s finest food and drink producers will gather under a giant marquee to literally take visitors' tastebuds on a culinary tour.
The show will host competitions, displays, musicians and events aimed at chefs and families alike.
A Celebrity Cookery Theatre will be among the show’s highlights playing host to some of Northern Ireland’s internationally acclaimed chefs. Visitors will find culinary inspiration from a rolling programme of demonstrations, and discover how to make delicious dishes using an array of local produce.
Caoimhe Mannion, regional marketing manager at Tesco Northern Ireland, said: “For consumers who want to support and find out more about the diverse range of excellent products from Northern Ireland, meet some wonderful local producers and have a great day out at the same time, Taste Northern Ireland is the place to be.”
