Tesco’s corporate and legal affairs director is to announce she is to be the fourth top executive to retire from the retailer after CEO Sir Terry Leahy stepped down in April, according to reports.
Lucy Neville-Rolfe is expected to leave in January 2013, The Sunday Times has reported. Tesco has refused to comment.
Ms Neville-Rolfe will not be replaced directly and her role will be split into separate legal and corporate affairs roles, The Sunday Times said.
The 58-year-old led Tesco through three Competition Commission inquiries into the supermarket industry in 10 years. She is also a non-executive director of ITV.
