Tesco have been given until Wednesday lunchtime to reach a deal with Farmers for Action (FFA) chiefs.
The pressure group, which was instrumental in the fuel strikes, has been in talks with the supermarket since threatening to bring it 'to its knees' last week.
The FFA has singled out the market leader for punishment after it refused to budge on price. Meanwhile, rival Safeway has pushed up milk tickets, and Sainsbury's has entered into sustained discussion with the direct action organisation.
But bosses at the action troop, which has sought advice from hardcore French farmers activist José Bové, are not satisfied with the multiple's contribution so far.
FFA spokesman Paul Reynolds said: 'We've had a bit of correspondence [with Tesco] but they keep moving the goalposts.' He added that Wednesday lunchtime was the new deadline for Tesco boss Terry Leahy to come forward, otherwise FFA members will engage in blockade action to cut off the multiple's RDCs.
