Tesco will mark National Organic Fortnight with a series of promotions across its organic range.
The two-week price cuts, which will run from September 2-17, will halve the price of many organic fruit and vegetables, and offer Clubcard holders double green points on all organic products.
The supermarket is also offering 20 per cent off organic eggs, fish, half legs of lamb and chicken.
Tesco Organic has seen some produce lines increase by almost 80 per cent since products have been sold alongside conventional food. Potatoes have seen a 79 per cent increase, with almost 3,500 tonnes of organic potatoes sold in the first 10 weeks after the new merchandising strategy was put in place.
One in three customers now regularly put at least one organic item into their trolley, according to Tesco.
New organic produce lines this autumn include roasting carrots and parsnips, winter roasting vegetables, carrot batons, vegetable medley and sliced runner bean packs.
