Tesco is helping the Malaysian government modernise retail businesses in the country.
It is assisting through the Tukar (Small Retailer Transformation Programme) project, designed to generate economic growth.
So far, Tesco has helped transform 101 shops across Malaysia.
Chief executive of Tesco Malaysia, Sung-Hwan Do, said the retailer plans to transform another 100 shops this year, the Borneo Post reported.
