Terry Watts stood down as managing director of Keelings (UK) Ltd at the end of June.
The move follows the sale of Watts’ remaining shares to Keelings, after creating a managerial succession plan for his planned departure.
During the 10 years he was with Keelings, Watts presided over a growth in the company into new categories and sectors.
William Keeling, UK group managing director, said: “For this, and his commitment to his staff and boundless energy, Keelings is sincerely thankful.
“His valued contribution to the company will continue as Terry works with Keelings in an advisory capacity over the next six months. He will work in particular with Steven Fagg, who has been appointed as business unit director of Keelings (UK). We would like to congratulate Steven on taking up the new role.
“We wish Terry every success and happiness in the future.”
