Next year’s Taste of the West Trade Show has been announced with the addition of The Source Exhibition, set to take place alongside it with the aim of helping buyers satisfy their local, UK and international sourcing needs under one roof.

The expansion is intended to make the event more accessible to a wider selection of food and foodservice buyers, who will be able to sample a collection of the region’s finest produce on offer, alongside a selection of offerings from UK and International food and drink suppliers.

Companies showcasing a range of services such as packaging, labelling, refrigeration, shop fitting, design, accountancy, recruitment and training will also be present.

The business benefits for exhibitors are also clear, enabling them to meet potential customers, from small delis through to some of the UK’s largest supermarkets.

The complementary shows will be clearly identified for 2010 with one section kept exclusively for Taste of the West members, and the other section being open to any food or related company wishing to have a presence in the South West to promote their products and services.

Show organiser Mike Anderson said: “In 2010, we look forward to the expansion to provide an even better and broader mix of food and related exhibitors, while being very conscious of maintaining the quality mix and emphasis on unique and passionate South West food and drink producers.’

The Source Exhibition and The Taste of the West Trade Show will both take place at Westpoint, Exeter on the April 19-20, 2010.
