Plant research specialist Syngenta is to host a number of field demonstrations to display its vegetable and crop protection products next month.

The 2009 Open Field Demo Days will take place on September 22-24 in Wervershoof in the Netherlands.

Under the tagline “Tour of experience”, the event, organised by Syngenta Seeds in co-operation with Syngenta Crop Protection, will host the unveiling of its crop protection solution programme and its latest varieties of Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, lettuce, spinach, squash, beans and sweetcorn.

The open days are aimed at all elements of the supply chain, from growers, integrated producers, traders and young plant raisers to retailers, industry processors and fresh-cut agents from Europe.

The open field demonstration days will also host daily demonstrations of mechanical harvesting of cabbage and different types of salads.
