Phillip Ayres has joined Elsoms Seeds as technical sales manager

Phillip Ayres has joined Elsoms Seeds as technical sales manager, following his departure from fellow seed business Syngenta.

Ayres, who will be based at Elsoms’ head office in Spalding, Lincolnshire, has a post graduate diploma in crop protection and is both BASIS and FACTS qualified.

Commenting on the move, he said: “I am delighted to be joining an established and well respected company, who are at the forefront of seed treatment technology. I’m keen to get involved with trial and experimental work, as well as supporting our established customers.'

Elsoms head of seed treatments Rae Cook welcomed the appointment, saying: “Phillip will work within the Elsoms team to raise the profile of Elsoms seed treatment activities and gain new business opportunities, as well as acting as a key advisor for our current customers’.'

The plant breeder has been treating seed for horticultural, ornamental and agricultural crops for over 30 years.
