The SuperValu range coming to Budgens and Londis this April will be the biggest ever own-brand launch in the history of either retailer as part of a £1.5 million investment by owners the Musgrave Group.
The selection is designed to offer quality at a price 20 per cent cheaper than leading brands.
It features all the essentials required to cover everyday shopping and is expected to boost own-brand sales by up to 20 per cent year on year.
Donal Horgan, managing director of Musgrave Retail Partners GB, said: “We can now offer our retailers a breadth of range, where quality is key and all with a clear value message.”
The group-wide approach to building the new-look range has been passion for food, with provenance and quality as critical factors in deciding where to source product.
This means that key GB suppliers have had the opportunity to expand their supply into Ireland, the Group said.
New products have been added to Budgens’ already award-winning fresh range.
Sourced and selected in Britain, specifically for the GB market, fresh produce and fresh meat will be branded SuperValu from Budgens or SuperValu from Londis.
