California-based grape and stonefruit breeder and grower Sun World International has recruited David Dever, CEO of Pandol Bros to its top job. Dever will become president and CEO while current president and CEO Allen Vangelos will remain on the board after his retirement in the new year.
Christopher Parker, chairman of the board of managers at Sun World said: “Sun World’s board and management team are confident that after an extensive search, David Dever is the right person to be our next CEO and we look forward to his contributions.”
And the firm has appointed New Zealander Garth Swinburn as regional licensing manager for Australia. He replaces Bob Wickson who has retired.
Sun World’s regional interests include management of intellectual property rights and
seedless grape and stonefruit licensing activities in Australia, New Zealand and China.
Swinburn has extensive experience across a wide range of crop types as an independent horticulture consultant sine 1996.
