Stubbins welcomes Cambridgeshire kids

Stubbins Marketing invited 15 children from Fen Drayton Primary school to tour its Cambridgeshire nursery this week, as part of British Tomato Week.

The nursery management team, Kevin and Jill Wolfe and Steve Clarkson, started out with an educational talk about how tomatoes grow.

The five- to six-year-olds were taken on a tour of the glasshouses and were given the chance to taste the many varieties grown at Fen Drayton.

Kevin Wolfe said: “It was great to hear the comments back from these young ‘taste panelists’; the children really enjoyed their day with us and we hope they learnt how nature helps us to grow fresh British tomatoes.”

A goody bag including balloons were given to each child, along with Stubbins’ fresh tomatoes to take back to school for lunch or home to their parents.
