Stubbins Marketing Ltd, the Waltham Cross based salads specialist, has won the Food Manufacturer award for excellence in the fresh produce category.
The award was presented at the Food Manufacturer Excellence Awards, at the London Marriott, Grosvenor Square, last Thursday night, and Stubbins commercial director Peter Turone is pictured, right, receiving the trophy from Trevor Lewis, managing director of sponsor SSI.
This year’s awards attracted more entries than ever before, said a panel of judges from all aspects of grocery retailing and manufacturing. Commending Stubbins, the panel said the family-run business has shown particularly impressive process innovation
“The Stubbins Marketing team has done a super job in working with retailers to better understand them and we were really impressed with its approach to ethical trading,” it added.
“The company’s attitude towards using new manufacturing processes is highly commendable. Its automatic cucumber-cutting machine and tomato packing equipment has really helped the company to up its game.
