Stockbridge Technology Centre (STC) is to host the second joint STC and HDC spring conference later this month.

Professor Janet Cade of the University of Leeds, Dr Kirsten Brandt of the University of Newcastle and Nigel Jenney, the chief executive of the Fresh Produce Consortium, will be among those speaking at the event on 19 April.

Professor Stephen Atkin, head of academic endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at Hull York Medical School, Croda International’s David Jopling and Neil Bragg of the HDC will also speak at the free event.

The conference will feature scientific medical evidence as well as different strategies to promote healthy eating in the UK and abroad. The discussion will tackle how to define and deliver a unified, proactive and effective campaign to get people to make dietary changes for long-term benefit.
