Efsis, the inspection specialists, has found over 70 per cent of food company's have had its image enhanced and over 60 per cent have improved their product quality, following results of a survey carried out by the group.

The results were revealed in a questionnaire carried out by Efsis to an attempt to establish client's views of the group's service levels and competence of inspectors.

Over 1,000 responses were received and Efsis business development manager, Paul Ruocco was delighted. He said: 'In the last four years we have invested heavily in IT and training. The results indicate clearly that the investment programme has paid dividends.' When asked about the level of inspector competence, 90 per cent said they were satisfied.

Ruocco concluded: 'We are committed to maintaining our premier position in the market place and will ensure that our excellent service levels are maintained.'
