West Sussex Growers’ Association schedules event for 9 November at Plumpton College
The West Sussex Growers’ Association has announced the speaker lineup for its Autumn Conference.
The event takes place on 9 November from 10am to 4.30pm at Plumpton College, and focuses on innovation, automation and robotics in horticulture.
More than 150 delegates are expected from the horticulture and related sectors, with NFU president Minette Batters kicking off proceedings as the opening speaker.
Also on the programme are horticulture specialists such as Professor Simon Pearson from the University of Lincoln; Professor Gail Taylor, formerly of Southampton University and now UC Davis, California; Kit Franklin from Harper Adams; and Andy Hall from Tortuga Agtech.
Exploring how developments in manufacturing can be applied to the horticulture sector will be speakers including Joshua Dalby, chief engineer at Ricardo, and Mike Wilson from MTC.
