Spanish citrus producers in the main production area of Valencia are seeing their easy-peel Fortune and Nova crops ravaged by brown spot this season. The fungus, which has been present in Spain since 1998, is reducing production of the varieties this year and affecting their suitability for market, according to growers' association Ava-Asaja.
