UK importers report enough supplies of Thompson Seedless to satisfy customers so far but forecast a tightening in availability next month.

There is also strong UK market demand for red seedless as the market awaits Sun Red from South Africa. And while producers in Chile keep one eye on the heavens as rainfall is predicted, shipments are already being loaded.

Meanwhile, the continental European market has been upset by an overhang of white seedless supplies from Brazil. The UK market cleared all its supplies from the South American country leaving the market largely to South Africa last month, but on the Continent volumes are dragging prices down below last year's levels. Brazil has two seasons on the UK market from April to June and September to December.
