South West producers and catering outlets can now book their place at the region’s leading food festival in 2010, giving them the opportunity to reach thousands of potential customers during the Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink 2010.

The festival, which takes place on April 9-11, 2010, celebrates the region’s finest food and drink producers and outlets, giving them the chance to sell their wares over three days in a dynamic market-like environment within the city’s 1,000-year-old Exeter Castle and surrounding Northernhay Gardens.

The 2009 festival was the most successful in its six-year history with a packed line-up of celebrities, the region’s top chefs and more than 120 exhibitors pulling in the crowds.

Festival chairman and board director Derek Phillips said: “The 2009 festival really was fantastic. With attendance levels up by 19 per cent, the record-breaking year proved to be an extremely prudent business decision for the exhibiting producers, with exposure to thousands of consumers over three days.”

Attracting visitors from across the region and the UK, producers will have the chance to offer tastings, generate valuable sales and improve awareness of their products to a quality audience all keen to try the very best regional produce.

MasterChef’s Mat Follas said: “In between cookery demos and interviews, I took time to meet exhibitors and producers with an eye to sourcing new and unique produce to offer my customers at The Wild Garlic.”
