The South African Table Grape Industry (SATI) has reported that packing in all regions in complete apart from the Hex Valley where only 12 packhouses were still packing Dauphine and Crimson Seedless this week.
Volume and exports are both running ahead of last season with 54.3 million cartons exported up to mid-April compared to 44.5 million at the same point last season.
The UK accounts for some 21 per cent of the market for South African grapes this season: more than the Middle East and Far East combined.
