The Soils Partnership, a collaboration between the AHDB and Catchment Sensitive Farming (CSF) to help UK farmers get the most out of their soil, is set for one final push before its two-year programme comes to an end in March.
A series of agronomy workshops in January and February, and soils management farm walks in March, will ensure The Soil Partnership 'goes out on a high', according to the ADHB.
'The extreme weather conditions of the 2012 growing season demanded some tough decisions be made on farm, and the regional soils events taking place in the first few months of 2013 will enable growers to meet leading soils management experts and discuss how to identify and correct soil problems on their farms,” said James Holmes, research and knowledge transfer manager for HGCA (AHDB cereals and oilseeds division).
Soils Partnership events scheduled for 2013 include six agronomy workshops, five farm walks and two winter forum events organised by the Potato Council.
