Fame Academy star David Sneddon has thrown his weight behind a fruit industry fund-raiser for the Children’s Trust.

Sneddon, along with two members of his new band, The Sham, paid a visit to the trust recently and spent several hours with children and staff as well as performing a song from the band’s new album.

A spokesman for the trust said: “He actually spent around three hours here and was a real hit with everyone.”

Sneddon will be providing entertainment at a special Twentieth Anniversary Children’s Trust Dinner, in London on November 25th.

Also included in a star studded line-up is former government spin doctor Alastair Campbell along with BBC rugby correspondent Ian Robertson.

TACT was initially created by fruit importer Frumar in 1994 to celebrate the company’s 10th anniversary, and former Frumar colleagues got back together to organise the 2004 event.

Tables of 10 for the dinner are priced £950 and single places are on offer at £95. Contact Mark Swanwick on 07798 628578
