Sales of smoothie-friendly fruit and vegetables performing strongly, coinciding with the retailer's new fresh produce promotion.
The Power of 5 promotion allows customers to save 25 per cent when they purchase any five fruit or veg products, giving them the opportunity to save on the lines they buy regularly while also being able to experiment with products they may not have bought before.
The promotion saw soft fruit continue to perform well, up 12.1 per cent in the week ending 23 January 2016, with Nutribullet favourites strawberries and raspberries rising 29 per cent and 14 per cent respectively.
To give smoothies that added green boost, avocado sales were up 15.4 per cent and organic green veg up 31 per cent, with spinach proving to be a favourite, up 47 per cent.
Canned vegetables sales also increased in this timeframe by 10.4 per cent.
