Albert Bartlett’s app allows customers to access recipes - featuring Barlett’s potato varieties - from some of the UK’s leading chefs. The Recipe Ideas app contains a selection of recipes and videos from Albert Bartlett brand ambassadors Michel Roux, Andrew Fairlie and Sally Bee.
Total Produce
Total Produce’s TOP QR Reader lets users scan and download content from QR codes on its fresh produce packaging, such as the company’s Fruit Byte videos. The app educates consumers about nutrition and preparation techniques, is available in eight languages, and works on other products as well as Total’s.
Rijk Zwaan
Lovemysalad.com is the brainchild of Dutch salad specialist Rijk Zwaan. The online platform, which took second place at the 2012 Fruit Logistica Innovation Award, gives consumers direct access to grower profiles, chefs’ tips and recipes, as well as the opportunity for professionals and the public to interact and discuss everything to do with salad.
Riverford Organic
The Riverford recipe app contains over 770 searchable recipes inspired both by the company’s Field Kitchen restaurant and recipes written for its organic veg boxes. It also includes an innovative ‘veg machine’ concept, whereby consumers can enter the veg they have available, click a button, and see a customised list of meals for the ingredients they have available.
New Holland Agriculture
The NH weather app offers farmers and growers a personalised application to allow short or long-range forecasting, industry news and the ability to contact their local dealer. Data is drawn from a network of over 71,000 weather stations across the world and a wide range of information is available including actual and feels-like temperatures, pressure, wind speed and direction.
Potato Council
The Potato Council’s Quick & Tasty app gives users access to hundreds of new and classic potato recipes that can be made in under 30 minutes. Recipes can be sorted according to the ingredients consumers have available using the app’s What’s In My Cupboard facility, with step-by-step preparation instructions making cooking easy.
