The show takes place in Manchester on November 13-16 and aims to inspire career choices for young people. It is expected to attract 80,000 UK visitors and will feature a stand run by the department for the environment, food and rural affairs with Lantra, the sector skills council for land-based industries.

'We hope that Skill City will provide us with the opportunity to challenge young people's misconceptions of the sector and present the many and rewarding opportunities that exist,' said Lantra chairman Gordon McGlone.

The stand will feature horticulture and food production among other land-based and environmental sectors and will be highly interactive offering tractor and forklift simulators, a quad bike and organic fresh produce.
