Leading fruit industry figure Jim Brown has passed away this week.
Jim, a well-respected senior commercial manager for SH Pratt & Co (Bananas) Ltd, died of a heart attack on 23 April, aged 47, leaving a wife and four children.
His career in the fresh produce trade spanned 25 years, having worked previously for Richard Hochfeld and Del Monte Fresh Produce UK.
A statement from the company said: "Jim will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He will remembered for his easygoing nature and a lightning quick sense of humour. Our thoughts at this time go out to his family. He leaves behind his wife Sally and four children, Molly, Phoebe, James and Thomas."
