More than 2,000 exhibitors are expected to flock to Novi Sad in the Serbian province of Vojvodina for the 75th International Agricultural Fair, from May 10-17.

Agricultural mechanisation, field crops, vegetables, fruit and related products make up the core of the event, which in 2007 drew a crowd of 650,000 visitors to observe exhibits from 60 countries.

“Once again, we are delighted to be the centre of the agricultural world,” said Marijeta Lazor, manager of marketing and public relations for the Novi Sad Fair. “This year we mark the 75th anniversary of the show. In three quarters of a century of assisting agricultural businesses to grow, the Novi Sad Fair has become the largest event in south-eastern Europe.”

Remer Lane, USAID Agribusiness Project marketing and export lead, said: “We work with Serbian agricultural businesses to increase sales and exports. The Novi Sad fair is the right place to achieve that.”
