One of the UK’s largest potato produces Select Lincolnshire is set to appear at the International Food Exhibition (IFE) 2009 in London in March.
It is the largest potato, wheat, poultry and cereal producer in the UK with a significant food heritage and it has the highest proportion of grade one soil in England.
Jim McCarthy, project manager of Select Lincolnshire, said: "By attending IFE 2009 we want to continue to raise the profile of Lincolnshire food and drink on the national and international stage and create a real 'wow' factor for our brand members.
“With such a vast collection of industry related businesses under one roof, I am looking to showcase all that the brand and Lincolnshire has to offer not just in terms of our delicious food products, but also to highlight the all of the industry related fields of excellence in our region," he said.
The announcement comes after the recent completion of the National Centre for Food Manufacturing, backed by the Process and Packing Machinery Association, in Holbeach, south Lincolnshire.
The state-of-the-art food manufacturing training facility has created a cutting-edge sensory evaluation suite and test kitchen, food manufacturing hall, microbiology and analytical laboratories, food preparation kitchens and premises for new business growth.
