Select Lincolnshire coming to Restaurant Show

Lincolnshire will be displaying its wares for the first time at the Restaurant Show at Earls Court, from October 6-8, and at The Goring Hotel, Belgravia, London’s oldest family-owned, five-star hotel.

Visitors to the Restaurant Show, which attracts 12,000 leading chefs, will see a stand showcasing produce from chicory and celeriac to beef to beer.

Select Lincolnshire is a business-based marketing initiative that offers agricultural, horticultural and food chain related companies operating from the Humber to the Wash, a distinct county identity that can be used across their marketing and aims to become a regular feature on the UK’s supermarket shelves and on the roads across the country.

TV chef Rachel Green, ambassador for Select Lincolnshire, will be demonstrating throughout the show, using the wealth of award-winning ingredients from her home county.

Derek Quelch, executive chef at The Goring will be celebrating Lincolnshire produce in his menus throughout the week featuring Lincolnshire breakfasts, with Lincolnshire sausages, bacon, eggs and black pudding, a Lincolnshire cheese board with its famous plum bread and a different Lincolnshire dish each day on the lunch menu.

Jill McCarthy, project manager for Select Lincolnshire said: “We want consumers and chefs in the capital to see the amazing range of produce from Lincolnshire.”
