Major operators of the Seasonal Agricultural Workers Scheme and the National Farmers Union met with Home Office officials this week to try and ensure the future of the scheme. Delegates were tight-lipped after the meeting in Sheffield on Tuesday, but all parties are said to be working closely with ministers and officials as negotiations continue.
