Savings made by Taylors

Taylors Regional Foods, a trading subsidiary of Taypack Potatoes Ltd, has announced significant rental cost savings following a recent purchase from Gray & Adams. According to Taylors, the increasingly popular 3.5 tonne rigid bodies from Gray & Adams were purchased to avoid wasting money on rental agreements.

The 3.5 tonne rigid bodies, fitted to Mercedes Sprinter chassis, have dual temperature zones with carrier refrigeration units; the same dual temperature equipment as two Gray & Adams dual temperature bodies currently operating as part of Taylors’ fleet. As existing Gray & Adams customers, Taylors is already familiar with the quality and durability of Gray & Adams manufactured products.

TRF supplies fine regional foods to local restaurants and fine food outlets and has recently been awarded the contract to be the sole suppliers to the Welsh Osprey’s rugby team. The company also supplies directly to Asda stores in the South West, and is set to expand its distribution radius to include the Hampshire area, covering a total of 34 individual stores.

“The regional foods business is not new, there is huge scope to expand this area and make the best of local tastes more available,” said Martin Brown of Taylors. “We chose to purchase the 3.5 tonne rigid bodies from Gray & Adams due to the vehicles good payload for its class, Gray & Adams’ back up service and sales support, and the vehicles reliability; both in terms of reliability of product, but also reliability of brand name. The Gray & Adams image is always worth having.”
