Sales of frozen raspberries and apples, meanwhile, were up 38 per cent at the retailer.
Elsewhere, the trend to make your own preserves is seeing growth with Seville oranges – now in season and famed for their use in marmalade – are up 20 per cent.
Horticulture has also enjoyed a strong January, the retailer reported, seeing sales grow 9 per cent year-on-year. Online flower orders have been particularly popular, with demand up more than 30 per cent.
