Recruitment specialist Redfox is urging firms to conduct a salary survey of their management staff as the recession bites.

According to Redfox the surveys enable firms to monitor salaries and benefits with ease and accuracy, checking market values for individual roles, setting up a structure for a range of positions, updating existing rates and potentially saving wage costs, and allowing firms to attract new talent and gain market share.

“At Redfox we have always conducted salary surveys for clients on an individual basis,” said Redfox director Max MacGillivray. “Because of the current trading conditions, clients are still recruiting, but are also wishing to use our industry expertise to make sure that they are offering the right packages to attract the right talent for the long term.

“Our surveys are not ‘off-the-shelf’ reports. We use our significant industry knowledge in the sector to present a survey that is focused on a business's needs. This gives an unbiased, independent and comprehensive analysis of the marketplace for the use of company owners/directors and personnel managers.”
