Recruitment specialist MorePeople is calling on fresh produce employees to take part in a new salary and benefits survey to help the industry gain a better understanding of employment conditions across the trade.

A year ago MorePeople carried out a similar survey aimed at obtaining quantitative data about salary ranges, the benefits that people value most and the motivations of people who work in the fresh food, horticulture and agriculture sectors.

The findings were published in depth in FPJ, and the recruiter now wants to repeat the study annually to produce comparative data and find out what, if anything, has changed.

Readers of FPJ are encouraged to take part by visitingwww.morepeople.co.uk/salary-survey-2020. As an added incentive to complete the survey, which MorePeople says will take no more than five minutes, the firm is offering a free iPad to one participant.

Andrew Fitzmaurice, managing director of MorePeople, said: “We spend a lot of time discussing benefits with our clients as everyone wants to find a competitive edge to attract the best candidates.

“Results of the 2019 survey highlighted that candidates expect more in terms of benefits than perhaps was previously the case, and the only way to really understand job priorities is by asking the right questions and getting as many people to take part in this survey as possible.”
