Top-fruit marketer Norman Collett is giving trade visitors to its stand at the National Fruit Show a chance to win £10,000.

Its Rubens Roll of the Dice game at the show will give each visitor precisely one chance in 279,936 to win the cash pot which has been underwritten by a specialist insurer for the event.

In order to walk away quids-in, punters just have to roll a six on each of seven dice at the show, which takes place on 20-21 October at the Kent Showground, Detling. The competition is intended to highlight the “six outstanding qualities and benefits that Rubens offers English apple growers and buyers,” a statement from Norman Collett said. The company is the official sponsor of the show and its business development manager Sarah Calcutt, is show chairman.

She said: “There hasn’t been a lot to smile about in the British economy over the past year and we are thrilled to add some real pizzazz to both the Norman Collett stand and the whole event. This exciting competition will add a great deal of fun to the stand and the sixes theme of the competition will highlight the six core benefits that an investment in Rubens will deliver to growers.”

She added that the six benefits are high quality, high yield, long storage capability, outstanding taste and texture. “And when it comes to the financial crunch, Norman Collett will be re-iterating the message that Rubens is well placed to deliver a quick and reliable profit on investment, with yields in year one,” concluded Calcutt.
