The July 1-4 event will feature British Potatoes: Growing Quality – a field to fork showcase designed to highlight all stages of the supply chain.

Its central focus will be on assured produce, and will be of real value to food producers and consumers.

All sectors of the industry are backing the event, which will bring producers up to speed on the assured produce scheme and integrated crop management.

Top crop protection experts present will include Syngenta, BASF and Agrovista.

Processors will also have a major hand in the arena, with MBM, AP Greenvale and Solanum leading the way.

Finished products will be on display with tasting and recipes available through chip expert McCain and the British Potato Council.

Director of exhibitions David Storrar said: 'The initiative is designed to assist food producers with detailed and technical information, while informing general consumers about the basics of the food production chain.'
