The Gangmasters Licensing Authority (GLA) has published an independent evaluation of its activities.

The GLA commissioned the University of Sheffield to evaluate the impact of the gangmasters licensing scheme and the report tracks the evolution of responsible supply and use of temporary labour by the industry, from the FPC's Guide to the Use of Temporary Labour in Packhouses, through to the Temporary Working Labour Group (TLWG) and ultimately the formation of the GLA.

The report highlights the active co-operation of all stakeholders to address this industry-wide issue and will provide an ongoing monitor of the effectiveness of licensing in tackling worker exploitation and business fraud. It is available on the GLA’s website.
