A top line-up of speakers ranging from retailers and suppliers to chefs and analysts has been announced for the 2013 Re:fresh Conference.

Under a theme of ‘Diversity – A New Perspective’, this year’s conference follows a format of short, punchy presentations, with opportunity for the audience to ask questions and network with the industry.

Three sessions will focus on Diversity in Business, Diversity in People and Diversity in Brands, covering a range of topics from business improvement and HR to marketing, branding and retail.

The high-quality speaker line-up includes Simon Moore, the head of fresh produce at Waitrose; Robert Balicki, chief executive of Worldwide Fruit; Neil Sanderson, MD at Florette; Chris Bavin of Pacific Produce; Veryan Bliss, commercial technical director at Suncrop; Guy Moreton, partner at MorePeople; Dom Lane, partner at Colour & Thing; Simon Lee, marketing director at It’sFresh!; and Nick Hay, MD at Fowler Welch.

The event will be opened by His Excellency Dr Federico Cuello Camilo, ambassador of the Dominican Republic to the UK and Northern Ireland.

Re:fresh chairman Nigel Jenney said: “We’re delighted to announce this outstanding line-up of speakers for the Re:fresh Conference. They will provide a lively afternoon of debate across a range of subjects of relevance to the UK fresh produce industry. It will be a great event, and a brilliant chance to network and hear from some of the most innovative companies and individuals in the trade today.”

Tickets for the Re:fresh Conference, which takes place at the Intercontinental Park Lane Hotel in London, cost just £90. The conference is followed at the same venue by the Re:fresh Awards, hosted by TV’s James Martin. For more information and to book your place at either or both events, visit www.refresh.uk.com.
