Registration for Re:fresh 2008, the leading Conference and Awards event in the industry’s calendar, is now open, and organiser the Re:fresh Partnership has again revamped the conference to entertain as well as educate delegates.

The conference start time, on May 8, will be later than in previous years, to allow more attendees time to carry out early-morning chores before arriving at the London Marriott, Grosvenor Square. The first session represents a departure from the fresh produce dominated agendas of previous years, as England’s Rugby World Cup Winner Will Greenwood kicks off the day with a presentation on his life at the top-end of world rugby with Leicester Tigers and England and, latterly, in the British media. The talk will not only be about boots and scrummages but also about teamwork, management, leaders, preparation, execution and goal setting. Delegates will leave having heard some humorous stories, but also with information and knowledge from the world of sport that can be applied in the work place.

The conference, which is again sponsored by Prophet Pr2, will take the theme Moving the Organic Goalposts, as Re:fresh delves into some of the myths, mysteries and of course truths that exist in the production and marketing of organic fresh produce, which represents around two per cent of the industry’s output but generates massive media exposure and therefore consumer opinion. More detail on the programme will be released in the coming weeks and months.

The Re:fresh Partnership, which comprises FPC and FPJ, is also launching the Awards this week to give entrants additional time to plan their entries. The dedicated event website - www.refresh.eu/awards - has been updated with all the criteria and category information. Download today and give yourself more time to plan your winning strategy.

The awards evening, sponsored by Florette, has sold out for the last two years, so register early to avoid disappointment. To register for both the conference and awards, go to www.refresh.eu/register
