DEFRA food and farming minister Jim Paice has been confirmed as a speaker at this year’s Re:fresh conference on May 19.
Paice will be among a series of high profile speakers addressing the industry’s main concerns. The minister will be discussing hurdles to getting produce to market and outlining what the government will be doing to help the horticulture industry.
Meanwhile, the deadline is nearing for entries to this year’s Re:fresh awards. Applicants can submit their free entries via www.refresh.uk.com until 18 March.
The ceremony will be hosted by TV funnyman Hugh Dennis in a gala event at London’s Intercontinental Park Lane.
